An unnamed Missouri lottery winner tried luck in a $50 “500X” Scratchers ticket and won big. The lucky one is a regular player of the Hazelwood store and he routinely buys his tickets. That player’s routine recently paid off in a big way. He surprisingly won $50,000 discovering the “500X” symbol.
According to the Missouri Lottery, he said “I go there every day and purchase my ticket.”
He said to the lottery officials “I kind of fist-pumped in the store. Missouri lottery said in a release his voice brimming with excitement because this winning wasn’t just about the money, it was the thrill of the unexpected windfall.
But the celebration wasn’t over yet! He rushed home, eager to share his good fortune with his wife. However, her initial reaction was disbelief. “She didn’t believe him,” the news release revealed. Then his wife asked if he signed it, “Actually, I had not signed it. I signed it in front of her,” the winner admitted, highlighting the importance of signing tickets immediately after a win. He plans to use his $50k prize money for a new roof.
